CAPTURING YOUR sweet SLICE OF LIFE.

My approach

"What do you do?" Good question!

I’m drawn to photography because it lets me preserve your most meaningful moments and seasons of life. No matter how time passes or memories fade, your photos will always take you back to how it felt, and that’s such a beautiful treasure.

MY SERVICES

As a lifestyle photographer based in Hood River and the Columbia River Gorge, I invite families, brands, and individuals to come as they are—genuine, relaxed, and real. Whether it's a family session in the Gorge wildflowers, wedding photography with Mt. Hood as your backdrop, senior portraits, or brand photography for your business, I gently elevate the moment through thoughtful styling that stays true to you. I'll help you choose a location—the Columbia Gorge, Portland, or somewhere personally meaningful—and guide you on what to wear. Every session includes a style guide, and together we'll plan a look that reflects your life.

Does your family make pancakes on Sundays, ride bikes at sunset, or run barefoot on the beach? I ask intentional questions to help shape a session that feels like you, today and many years from now. My goal: images that don't just look beautiful, but that feel like your unique story. I love all the messy, beautiful in-between moments—the pauses, the unexpected tears, the belly laughs, the shy smiles. You won't be asked to sit still or pretend to be anyone else. Whether it's a family session, wedding day, branding shoot, or portraits of your wild and wonderful kiddos, I'm here for the real stuff—the personality, the chaos, and the connection.

My sessions are relaxed, supportive, and fully focused on helping you feel seen. You'll have my complete attention and care from start to finish, no matter who's in front of the lens.

I will be your friend & sherpa from beginning to end

The beautifully mundane, the sweet details, and all the moments big and small. I will be by your side helping narrate your story with my lens and my love for all the corners of your world.

what to expect

"I hesitated getting family photos because they usually feel cheesy to me. Absolutely not the case with Christy. No awkward forced poses here. She was so relaxed and natural that her demeanor let us feel free to be ourselves. And being a mother herself she was great at engaging our toddler. We have some amazing shots from our maternity, family, and newborn photo sessions. I will forever cherish these photos from such a tender time."

"Christy knows how to take beautiful family photos that feel organic and timeless."

WHITEHOUSE FAMILY

MAternity, Newborn, + Family session

"From maternity to newborn and for the much needed holiday card photo. Our now four year old was 2.5 years old when we did our first photo session with Christy and she somehow captured the most authentic, cheerful smiles from our little girl who is very serious, reserved and cautious in unknown settings like a photo session! I was shocked when I saw the pictures and how she captured the energy of our sweet girl. Something else that I really appreciate is that she comes prepared. I wasn’t expecting a windy day and my hair was a mess but I didn’t bring a hair tie. But guess who did? Christy! She goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and has an eye for detail and art that makes for the most beautiful and keepsake photos."

"Christy has done multiple photo sessions for our growing family."

"Christy is wonderful to work with. She is able to convey such emotional depth is her photos. I was privileged to work with her for my family photos taken outside during the fall. Naturally my kids weren’t excited about the PNW weather and were camera shy. Cristy was so animated, she went above and beyond getting them comfortable and happy, and the result was an intimate, almost ethereal story in pictures. She captured the beauty of the scenery, the range of expressions on my kids’ faces, our closeness as a family, everything I hoped for. I will absolutely work with her again, very highly recommend!"

"She is unique among photographers, a true artist with regard to her captivating style."

FAMILY SESSION

no. 03 — love letters

In the words of Henry David Thoreau, “It’s not about what you look at. It’s what you see.” I believe in photographing those little things you might not even notice that truly capture you and your sweeties. The in-between moments, glances, crinkle-eye smiles, goosebumps. There’s nothing more beautiful and fascinating to me than the pure joy, excitement, and comfort of two people wildly in love.

Can we skip to the good part?
